Project Description

Brian Allan

Group Director Business Development
Galpin Motors

The Future’s So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades!

In his presentation, Brian will share information that supports his view that the retail industry has yet to experience its best days and the dealers’ future is very bright.  Brian will explain why he believes that more people will acquire more cars more often in the coming years.  He’ll expose the “fake news” against the industry and reveal the good news.  Brian will also discuss his belief that dealers are in the best position to leverage the “disruptive”technology that some say is a threat to the dealership model.

About Brian Allan

Brian started his automotive retail career in 1980 in Beverly Hills, California selling Lincoln, Mercury, Peugeot, and Lotus vehicles while attending Cal State University Northridge.  In 1985, Brian joined what became the Galpin Premier Collection.  As a General Manager at Galpin for the last 21 years, Brian opened and operated 8 of the Galpin family of brands including Lincoln, Mercury, Jaguar, Aston Martin, Volvo, Spyker, Lotus, and Mazda franchises.  Each of these brands has received repeated recognition by the manufacturers for the highest achievements in sales and customer service performance.  Every brand, if not #1 in the nation, has been consistently in the top 10% of national sales volumes and CSI ranking under his leadership and guidance from the legendary H.F. “Bert” Boeckmann, Chairman and Owner of Galpin Motors.

In 2016, Brian was promoted to the Galpin leadership team as Group Director, Business Development.  In his new role, Brian has direct responsibility to further retail innovation and improve business processes for all of Galpin’s retail operations.

Brian’s significant experience with a variety of automotive brands and retail strategies allows for unique insights that he enjoys sharing with his peers in the industry.  Brian has served on several manufacturer and vendor advisory boards, committees, and dealer councils.

Brian Allan resides in the Hollywood Hills with his wife Karon and Fox Terrier rescue, Brandy.  He is a Los Angeles native.
