A Tug-of-War exists in the car buying process.  Today’s car buyer wants to maintain control of the process, using information and technology to help them with each decision.  At the same time, dealers want to maintain control in order to protect their profitability and bottom line.  The most successful dealers find a way to manage this Tug-of-War and thrive in today’s transparent marketplace.

Kerri’s presentation will provide insights from a recent study of top performing dealers that enjoy close rat Save es 2 times better than their local competition, plus a study of car buyers nationwide.  Specifically, she will:

  • Examine consumer pain points that top dealers successfully address
  • Identify disconnects between online and offline processes
  • Highlight specific tactics that help top performing dealers balance transparency and sales success

About Kerri Wise

Kerri Wise is Vice President, Dealer Education at TrueCar.  In her role, she leads dealer training initiatives and events focused on helping dealers understand the tools and best practices that can maximize their success on TrueCar.  She also serves as an evangelist for the company, speaking each year at various dealer conferences and industry events.  Kerri’s automotive career spans nearly 19 years helping both dealers and OEMs improve their strategies using consumer trends, best practices, and analytics.  Prior to joining TrueCar, Kerri spent 4 years at as an Executive Director of Dealer Training, leading both dealer and internal sales training.  Kerri also spent 12 years at J.D. Power and Associates working in several areas including OEM sales and dealer consulting.  Kerri earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California State University, Northridge.
